A big well done to our Year 9 netball team (pictured above and in action below) who took part in the Bolton Netball Tournament on Tuesday evening in freezing conditions! Placed in a difficult group, the girls knew it would be a tough task to make it through to the knockout stages. The opening game was against Bolton School and although the girls demonstrated some decent play through the centre court, the county talent was evident on the opposing team and unfortunately our girls could not keep up with the speed of the game. However, dusting themselves off, the girls managed two consecutive wins against Kearsley and Rivington with Saffiya A having fantastic games at GK. Unfortunately, these two performances were not enough to take the girls through to the semi-finals with Bolton and Thorneigh progressing to the next stage. Special mention must go to Vivian M and Zoe M who represented the school for the very first time on Tuesday and had fantastic tournaments! Well done, girls.
