The cricket season is well under way and students have been practising at lunchtimes and after school. Sharples made the short journey to Turton to play an indoor game and prepare for future full sided matches later in the term. Sharples had a number of students playing their first ever cricket match but also had some experience with the likes of Abdur and Zak. Sharples won the toss and decided to bowl first but struggled to keep Turton’s run rate down. Despite all batters contributing to the scoreline Sharples couldn’t reach the target set and fell short of the total.
