The Maths department have had a fantastic week celebrating National Careers week! Years 7, 8 and 9 have had various activities to complete during their maths lessons that have got their business minds working hard! Year 7 had the task to design a school tuck shop. Year 8 were challenged with an apprentice style task designing a chocolate company as well as their own product. Year 9 have been learning all about the cost of living in the real world. All year groups have impressed their teachers with their enthusiasm and great ideas!
Additionally, a group of Year 9 and 10s had a fantastic opportunity to take part in an Engineering in Careers workshop with a visiting speaker. They really enjoyed getting the chance to talk to someone with first hand experience from an engineering background.
