As a department we were absolutely delighted that Alfie in Year 7 was invited to sign the Headteachers Book of Honour this week. Alfie showed unwavering commitment to the Year 7 football team after despite not being in school through the day, deciding to come in and play for the team in their first fixture whilst also managing to get on the scoresheet! Alfie’s example of commitment and dedication is something that the department has not seen and we are extremely proud of Alfie. The Headteachers Book of Honour is a prestigious award with only a few students being invited to sign this throughout Ms Webster’s time as Headteacher at Sharples. Alfie was also awarded a Headteachers Award badge that he was able to place on his blazer for all to see. Alfie continued his goalscoring form in this week’s game against Kearsley! Well done Alfie!
