Versus Thornleigh in the Bolton Cup
This week, Year 8 (pictured above) took on Thornleigh in the cup, this was a really tough fixture and that was apparent from the start. Thornleigh went 2-0 up in the first 10 minutes, Ayaan managed to get us a goal back but Thornleigh hit back with two more before half time. With the score being 4-1 at half time, the lads had a big task on their hands if they wanted to get through to the next round of the cup. We came out strong in the second half, getting a goal early to make it 4-2. Thornleigh showed their class and stopped the Sharples comeback with 4 additional goals. Great effort from the lads, we go again!
At the Manchester United Academy
On Wednesday our Year 8s (pictured above) took part in a tournament at Manchester United’s academy. The lads showed great resilience and work rate throughout, they managed to finish 4th out of 9. Special mention must go to Muhammad who was exceptional in each game.
