A big well done to our KS3 and KS4 football teams who both came away winners on Thursday evening against Essa Academy. The Year 7 & Year 8 team started off a little nervous but soon found their rhythm and it took the girls only 10 minutes to score their first goal through an incredible strike from Talia D. Another two goals followed in quick succession, again from Talia D and a left-footed half volley from Khadija V. After a tough and physical game, the match finished 3-0. A shout out to Ruby M for keeping a clean sheet in goal!
The KS4 team also secured a win for Sharples and managed an impressive 7-0 victory. The girls were on the front foot from the beginning and scored 4 goals in the first half. Grace G secured her 4th goal of the game early on in the second half with Izzy F and Fatima U also adding their names to the score sheet. Mariya P also held on to a clean sheet in net after a great save in the last few minutes of the game! A great effort from all of the girls! We hope the momentum continues when the KS3 team face BSCA on Monday!
