You may have noticed that the men’s football teams are currently competing in the World Cup in Qatar. Over the period of the competition, our KS3 students are attempting a variety of World Cup themed activities in their maths lessons. This has included questions about individual players, the nations involved and their flags. For example, on the morning of England’s first game, some Year 9 students answered maths questions to ‘score’ goals for England and ‘save’ goals from Iran, resulting in a 2-1 final score. Not quite as good as the actual score, but an accurate prediction nonetheless! Watch out for more activities in the weeks to come.
