Year 7 continued their 100% start this season with a well deserved 3-1 win against a good Westhoughton side on Tuesday. Goals from Elliot (x2) & Alfie helped the group on their way to making it 4 wins from 4! It was fantastic to see each player doing their bit and contributing to the team as much as possible. Special mention to Lucas who was absolutely excellent in defence throughout the game!
As the nights get darker, there will be less football matches from now until after half term but we are actively looking for friendlies in the meantime before the league and cup recommence after Christmas. Once again, details of any matches will be shared with pupils. Year 7 & Year 8 football training will continue on Tuesday after school.
There will be opportunities for players who don’t currently play for the team to get that opportunity to do so. Details of which will be sent out to Year 7 form tutors in due course.
