Science Enrichment – Asteroid Day 2022

Yesterday, our GCSE Astronomy students observed Asteroid Day 2022, a UN-sanctioned global public awareness campaign, by working in teams to research and present to their peers what asteroids are, where they come from, what are the potential dangers of an impact with Earth and what defence systems can we design to protect our planet. The quality of the team presentations was exceptional and so it was certainly an educational and entertaining afternoon, congratulations to all of our Year 9 Astronomers!
