Congratulations to Mr Harding (pictured above) who has received an Education Award. The awarding body, The Royal Astronomical Society, said the following:
Mr Harding is the Science Enrichment Coordinator at Sharples School, Bolton. His passion for astronomy, and commitment to young people, is evident in the positive impact that he has had on his school community. Mr Harding has established a number of different opportunities to support his students to develop and maintain a passion for Astronomy. Mr Harding’s activities also include the school’s wider community. He has delivered outdoor astronomy sessions to over 200 primary school children. Giving children an opportunity for inspirational engagement during this period. Mr Harding’s passion for physics and space is an inspiration to pupils and colleagues alike and he is an asset to his school.
